Who We Are

Chatsworth School PTA is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school.

Our Mission

“TO MAKE EVERY CHILD’S POTENTIAL A REALITY BY ENGAGING AND EMPOWERING FAMILIES AND OUR COMMUNITY TO ADVOCATE FOR ALL CHILDREN.”

We accomplish our mission by:

  • Supporting and speaking on behalf of children and families on our school, in the community, and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;

  • Assisting parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;

  • Encouraging parents and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Our Values:

  • Collaboration: We will work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.

  • Commitment: We are dedicated to children’s educational success, health, and well-being through strong family and community engagement, while remaining accountable to the principles upon which our association was founded.

  • Diversity: We acknowledge the potential of everyone without regard, including but not limited to: age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, legal status, marital status, mental ability, national origin, organizational position, parental status, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, and work experience.

  • Inclusivity: We invite the stranger and welcome the newcomer.  We value and seek input from as wide a spectrum of viewpoints and experiences as possible.

  • Respect: We value the individual contributions of members, employees, volunteers, and partners as we work collaboratively to achieve our association’s goals.

  • Accountability: We acknowledge our obligations and deliver on our promises. We have a shared responsibility to align our efforts toward the achievement of our association’s strategic initiatives.

  • Integrity: We act consistently with our beliefs.  When we err, we acknowledge the mistake and seek to make amends.

Carpool Reminders

At both drop-off and pick-up - Enter the carpool line on New Avenue from Chatsworth Avenue, NOT Bond Avenue.  Do NOT enter from Bond Avenue and make a LEFT into Chatsworth. This holds up traffic and blocks our buses from leaving the school and delivering the students home on time.

Do not block the driveways of our school neighbors on New Avenue while waiting in line for carpool. If waiting for the carpool line to begin moving, leave a gap between cars for the driveways of residents of New Avenue!
